Hemato-Oncology comprises of the diagnosis and treatment of blood diseases (hematology) and cancer (oncology) and research in these fields. It involves treatment of cancerous blood disorders and cancers, and manages symptoms of these diseases and resultant tumors (if present). Genetic testing for Hemato-Oncology helps in the diagnosis and screening of such disorders, wherein early diagnosis may be invaluable to successful disorder treatment and management.
